Entry
KRET or NET-JRF, followed by an interview with the departmental research committee.
Assistantship
Full-time scholars in the sciences and engineering receive a monthly stipend and a tuition waiver.
Coursework
Two semesters of research methods, ethics and domain coursework before the proposal defence.
Progress review
Every six months before an internal panel, with an external assessor from the third year.
Instrumentation roomBring a problem and a budget. Contracts are handled by the research office, with IP terms agreed before work begins.
Materials testing, water analysis and structural assessment available to industry at published rates.
Doctoral co-supervision arrangements with eleven partner universities, and visiting fellowships both ways.
